| - I don't even know what to rate this place. Right this minute, the only reason I'm giving Park Theater one star is based on the Bruno Mars concert last year and the app won't let me give them a ZERO. That concert was amazing and the entire concert experience was wonderful.
However, today's experience is definitely a zero. First of all, I'm attaching the email sent to me by Ticketmaster that was sent out to the GA ticket holders for the G-Easy concert. The email told us to come here today in the morning (10 AM opening) to get a wristband for the evening concert. Let's start at that retarded set up. I arrived at 9 AM to be directed outside to wait in line for my wristband. I knew I'd be waiting in line, but I didn't expect a venue such as the Park Theater to "park" me outside. As I stood in line with my daughter --- we watched trashy person after trashy person line hop in front of those of us who were following the rules and standing in line. I told a security officer (he was observing their behavior) and he told me that security was only there to "make sure fights didn't break out." Super helpful! :)
Next, after getting to the front of the line we received our numbered wristbands (120,121,122,123,124) for tonight's concert. This was after standing outside in 47 degrees (not sure why they didn't allow us to stand indoors as there's massive amounts of room inside the theater).
According to the email, our numbered wristband group was to arrive at 5 and we would get in early BY NUMBER to the venue. We arrived at 5 pm to the INDOOR entrance to Park Theater only to be told that we had to go OUTSIDE to be let in. We went outside to get in line by number (which might have been great if the MONTE CARLO actually implemented their process). However, while responsible citizens did line up by number --- again trashy people cut way ahead. There was these guys with 254,255 that were near the front of the line. Nobody at the Park Theater checks anything! Furthermore, thousands of people followed their instructions and arrived as instructed. Yet we were not let in until after 6 pm. We were literally freezing our butts off outside for over an hour!!!!!!! I'm beyond pissed! Why did I come here twice today to get a wristband, stand outside and freeze TWICE???? Why?! There's zero benefit!
Myself and other people were told to do this to get EARLY entry and to have a numbered entry based upon our spot in line. We got neither! We were left outside freezing our butts off and the numbered wristbands weren't given out or monitored properly. In hindsight, I would've slept in and arrived at 6 pm and been let right in the doors.
If you think I'm done, I'm not. Once getting into the Park Theater from the frozen tundra I got to deal with the most aggressive security employees and rude "ushers" I've ever encountered. My personal impression is that the personnel was acting this way as G Easy is a rapper and they're expecting a rough crowd??? Idk - but I was not treated this rudely at the Bruno Mars concert and I am absolutely appalled at how unorganized and unprofessional today has been. It seems pretty obvious to me that the Park Theater is operating and treating the guests for the rap concert much, much differently than the other concerts. Honestly, I don't think the Park Theater should host such concerts if this is how they're going to run them.
I'd rather pay far more money than deal with this venue and personnel again. I have been to countless concerts around the United States since the 1980s and I have never had such a frustrating experience. BTW - It's now 7:04 PM and the show has started. I'm attaching a photo of how many people still aren't even in the theater due to the lack of organization at this facility.
Update- I wanted to say the Park Theater reached out to me today and apologized for the GA admissions process yesterday. They said they are going to do things differently in the future. I can say my previous experience here was great before G Easy.
