First off I have been going here for over 15 years and things were fine...UNTIL this last week. I went to pick up my monthly prescription for by BP and was told the clinic had declined the refill. Baffled I called the clinic. I explained my confusion and was told they would call back. 30 minutes later the clinic called back and stated the PA said I need to come in for a visit and labs before they would renew. I explained that I had been there several times in the past few months and no one had told me this. "well that's what they told me to tell you and I am just the messenger" was the response. I called back 30 minutes later to ask if it was good medical practice to tell people to abruptly stop taking a prescription they have been on for 8 years. She went to ask again and came back with the same answer. No we'll call in a weeks supply until you get in or anything. The next day I stopped in to talk to my Pharmacist and said he would like to try to call the doc for me and get me a one week extension. He came to find me in the store and he was visibly upset. He spoke to the doctor and was told "it's her heart medicine maybe she'll pay better attention the next time, if she can't get in here, if she has no insurance, if she can't afford it, THATS NOT MY PROBLEM , don't ever bother while I am on the clock again!". Listen I had no idea my prescription was expiring. There was no "evil intent" on my part nor was I just being lazy or ignorant. I have been a faithful customer/patient of this doctor for 15 years, but Never again . I will tell everyone can. Even my pharmacist told me to find a different doctor and he had never experienced anything so unprofessional before.
