For the price, this is one of the top courses in Vegas. And, the lack of publicity keeps the out of towners that only play once in a blue moon away from this course. That's all fine by me as the retired guys really move on the course.
The staff is very friendly and helpful From the starter to the restaurant workers, its all about customer service with a smile.
The course is not exceptionally manicured like the Cascata or Wynn, but they get the job done. The desert scape helps with water problem, but the fairways, tee boxes and greens are in good shape. The holes are very scenic as they meander through the Summerlin neighborhood which can blossom into some fantastic picturesque views of the Vegas valley, including the strip.
The course is challenging. Especially on a long uphill par four with a stiff breeze in your face. Plenty of risk reward shots also. The finishing hole is a drivable par four that is guarded by the lake on the right side.
When you play, be a bit open minded and think about how much you're playing before shanking a shot off of the fairway and complaining about the horrible lie you put your self in. If you're still dissatisfied, go play Wynn for $500.
