  • Do not bother going to this Massage Envy location, or any other for that matter. I was gifted a 1-hour massage, which was a fairly pleasant experience. Afterwards, I was offered a month-to-month membership for $50 for a 1-Hour massage. The woman assured me I could cancel at any point if I didn't like it or wasn't utilizing it. That was certainly not the case. After a few months, I decided to cancel the membership because I hadn't been using the monthly massage (scheduling was quite difficult). I was told it wasn't possible because I was under an obligation to complete my "contract" with them which was apparently a year, and then I would be able to go month-to-month, at which point I would be "allowed" to cancel my membership. So after 15 months of paying $50 a month (then later they upped it to $55 a month) for a service I have never once used, I'm finally allowed to cancel my membership- they also explain to me that I can use the remaining massage sessions on my account if I'd like, but I must use them within 60 days of cancellation- oh yeah, and I can only gift ONE of these sessions to a friend. The cherry on top of this nonsense was being told that in order to cancel, I had to physically come into their store and fill out a cancellation "contract", and that I couldn't cancel over the phone. I was assured this was for my protection. Ah yes, those infamous crime syndicates hard at work- plotting ways to cancel hapless massage goers' contracts all across the nation. In short, I'm sorry I ever went to Massage Envy. The massage wasn't that great, and definitely not worth the hassle. I would have NEVER signed up for any sort of membership had I known what I was getting into. Save yourself the trouble, go to China Town and find a dimly lit foot spa- they'll give you a great massage and won't take $800 dollars from you for services never rendered.
