| - Wow. Getting upgraded to a suite unexpectedly doesn't happen often enough - for any of us. So when the hotel gods give you a blessing, enjoy it!
Green Valley is far away from The Strip. It's peaceful, quiet desert luxury. The vibe skews a bit older than, say The Cosmo or SLS. Honestly, that's not a bad thing if you're over it when it comes to flashy vibes or making it a night out at the club. What's wrong with getting a massage or relaxing at the pool?
Unfortunately I didn't get to do any of those things because by the time our flight landed, we got our rental car, had dinner on The Strip, then drove to Henderson, it was 11:30 pm. However, late check in was rewarded with a complimentary upgrade since they were out of regular rooms. And since I only paid $70 for the room in the first place, the suite was especially sweet.
Living room, executive dining room, balconies with Mountain views, two bathrooms, and two TV's - bigger and nicer than most apartments I've rented over the years. It's too bad we weren't living it up that night. Went straight to bed!
Next day the sunrise was beautiful - a more natural, peaceful way to appreciate the valley. A long, hot shower and some Vegas local TV helps a person wake up. Plus, there's the Grand Lux downstairs for pancakes!
I'd stay here again, for work or pleasure. Assuming I had a car to get to Vegas proper. Or if you're keeping it Henderson, uber could be your transport. Not wild but very nice.
