We left Cox because the bill kept going up and up. When I called them on it one time they stated that our great price for 3 years was only guaranteed to be a savings over the "regular" price not that lowest price for the whole 3 years. If we wanted to go with someone else we'd have to pay an early termination fee. Yet they claim you're not on a contract. At the end of the time they said we had to wait we went with DirecTV. They didn't have internet service. Cox was going to double our internet bill if we didn't have cable with them anymore. I couldn't find anyone else for internet so since we had our phone with Century Link went with them. It was supposed to be $70 something a month for 3 years. It went up before the 3 years were up and no argument could make them put the bill back. I'd call and be told the next bill would have a credit and our bills would be lower from then on. Wrong. The bill has kept going up and up and up. It's now up to $123 a month for SLOW internet speed and phone. They all know it's a pain in the neck to switch IPOs and practically have a monopoly so they could care less if you're happy. My daughter in another state has Spectrum. For internet, cable and phone it's less than $100 a month and the price is for life. I checked into it and that isn't available where I am in Phoenix. I'm going to check into Cox when they run another special and maybe switch back to them until they go crazy again and then switch to whatever is available at that time. I don't care for DirecTV either. If there's much wind or rain our picture keeps cutting out and our boxes die periodically.
