Be aware when purchasing a firearm with a rebate, particularly Remington and DPMS. All the Cabelas ads show the after rebate price in huge letters. The price you pay is in small letters. If you do not send in the exact documents at the exact time they will not pay you the rebate. The DPMS box containing the gun I purchase had a total of 5 bar code stickers on it. The one I sent in was the wrong one. I did not know this until I received a post card at week 7 of the 6 to 8 week waiting period. The card with the rebate instructions does NOT tell which barcode is the correct one The correct one was in a sealed bag with the gun lock. When I sent in the correct one, I should have not had to wait 8 weeks for the rebate money! I complained in person at the store and was told a manager would call me back. He didn't, I had to call again. I did talk to a manager, finally. With all self promotion bragging about how good their customer service is, it is all talk and no action. I thought Cabelas would help me get the rebate, since they are the ones displaying it so boldly in their ads. I also wrote 3 reviews of my experience under the DPMS gun in Cabelas internal review on their website. You will not find any of them.
