  • I went for afternoon tea with a few girlfriends this weekend for a belated birthday celebration, and left feeling like a princess. I was greeted with freshly made cotton candy in the lobby, such a welcome! The tea was excellent, dare say rivalling the Windsor Arms, which was my go-to until now as other teas in Toronto are so-so. They take a modern twist with the decor and tiered trays but still stay true to quality, delicious petit fours and scones. I was surprised with a bag of pastries and card signed by the serving staff at the end, such a nice touch! My girls and I went exploring after and ended up having a mini tour of TOCA by the hostess, so needless to say the Ritz knows how to deliver 5-star service not only to its room guests, but to ALL of its guests. While some may say this is expected from places like the Ritz, it's nice to see they actually take hospitality seriously and leave the pretentious out. Treat yourself there one day :)
