Came here for a show a few weekends ago for the first time. We almost missed it because wait for it... it's located inside a Mexican restaurant! Yup! It's located inside Papi Chulo's. Anyway, we arrived right at 8PM, the time in which the show started. We waited outside for awhile for someone to seat us - the doors were shut and a poster on the door said to wait for someone to seat us. So we did. A waitress came out and said the show was completely full. We told her that we had pre-purchased tickets online. She then stated that it was again, completely full and there were no seats left. Umm.. ok? I was kinda bummed about how she responded because she didn't really take any initiative or find a way to assist us - so she left us hanging and went back inside to grab someone. She grabbed this dude, Jimmy. Didn't know who he was or what he could do but he was nice and asked if we could return for the 10PM showing. I was already over it since we were kinda shooting for the 8PM show but we figured it would be fine. He also said that they could refund some of our money for the inconvenience.
The 10PM show rolls around and we see Jimmy and he tells us to meet with Brian. Didn't know who he was either, but he apologized for the mix up and hooked us up. We were also able to sit wherever we wanted. The venue is intimate (not very large) and it was Salsa Night at Papi Chulo's so every time the door opened, salsa music permeated through the venue, LOL! The show was super funny and it was even funnier when we found out that Brian was the owner, host and a comedian and Jimmy was also the comedian that opened up for the main act. So both the dudes we talked to before the show, were part of the show. I'm giving this place 5-stars for the hospitality and awesome service from Brian!
