  • I do not review businesses often but my experience was so amazingly BAD that I decided to share my story. The goal was to buy my boyfriend a sweet gadget for Christmas and I knew the source had it in stock (according to the Internet). When I arrived at the source (in Eaton center) I was informed that I could not get the item in store and that it was only available online, when I asked if I could special order it I was told I could only do so by purchasing a gift card that would then by the product on the web (sounds complicated I know, and it was). I agreed to this strange payment structure and proceeded to wait for about twenty minutes for it to all be done, once everything went through I was informed it would be in the store within 3-5 business days (this was on Dec. 18th). Well five days passed and no gadget, I received a confirmation of arrival via email but was told when I called that it was not in the store and no one knew where it was. Christmas came and went no gadgets in sight, so I went in to the market mall location to try and get a refund on my purchase that never came. By this time I was more then a little annoyed and made that clear to the staff who immediately called the Eaton center location to speak to a manager (the market mall staff were amazingly helpful). Long story short the Eaton center folks still had no idea where that gadget was and I was asked to meet with the Eaton center manager Ian on the following monday (January 7th). Monday rolled around and I went to meet with Ian to figure everything out, sadly Ian said he had heard nothing about my troubles and said he couldn't help me till the following day! I was really annoyed and demanded that he give me a refund already and let this gadget nightmare be over but he said there was nothing he could do. To add insult to injury he also asked not so politely if I needed "a gift card for my trouble" as if I was making a stink over nothing (he did not give me a gift card anyway so I guess it doesn't matter). To polish off this turd of an experience when I finally did return to get my refund on my next day off January 14th Ian, lovely man that he is, chided me for not taking my refund via gift card because that was the "original tender". Thankfully he "let it slide" as he so kindly put it and left me with some words to remember him by and I quote "Thanks for handling this situation as well as you did." Your welcome Ian! As a sign of my appreciation I will NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN.
