Janurary 22nd-it was my Mommy's Bday(i'm such an awesome daughter, I know) so I decided to treat her(and dad and brother-once again I'm awesome) to a nice restaurant to celebrate. I had already been before, but it had been a while and it was for clubbing purposes only, so i had forgotten how pretty (and DARK) it was inside. There was a slight line, but i had reservations so i didn't have to wait for a table. It was pretty crowded (but it was a Friday in Las Vegas so duh). so our table was slightly cramped but no big deal.
I ordered shrimp tempura, and california rolls. My mother also ordered some sushi(can't remember which ones) but everything was good, My dad had some spare ribs that were extremely tender(i got a piece off his plate) and my brother ordered the Thai Duck fried rice-which was so good, he ordered another and I ordered one for myself.
So because I checked into Tao via Yelp I received a free ginormous fortune cookie for dessert. It was filled with chocolate and vanilla mousse and very yummy. And because our waiter was so nice, he brought a second one free of charge with candles to celebrate my mom's birthday. Very cool. She enjoyed it and it made her bday memorable-and solidified my position as her coolest child.
