  • We stopped at Luxury Motorsports to look at a vehicle a few weeks ago. While discussing price with the sales person, I informed him twice that we wanted to know the total price of the vehicle before he ran our credit reports and discussed terms. We did not give him our credit information for this reason, and when he presented my husband with a document to sign allowing him to run my husband's credit, he did not sign it and stated that we wanted to know the out the door price before he ran his credit. If the total price of the vehicle was not right, we did not want them running his credit and taking a 2-3 point hit for a vehicle he did not intend on buying. The salesman agreed, confirmed understanding and said he would go get those numbers for us. He came back five minutes later with some numbers, based on what he said my husband's credit was the last time he looked at a vehicle there around six months ago. While we were sitting there, my husband's credit alert account sent him an email notifying him that Luxury Motorsports had run his credit. They looked up his information from last time he was in there (even though he did not give him his social number this time or agree to his credit being ran on this visit) and ran his credit against what we had said. The finance person who came out was a complete jerk, and when we got the alert and asked them if they ran his credit he made up an excuse about how "he didn't know he wasn't supposed to run it." Yet, we didn't give him the information and he had to physically go back and look it up because we wouldn't give it to him this time until they told us how much the vehicle was going to cost. And not only that, but we told the salesman THREE times we weren't given him our social security numbers to run our credit until we agreed on a price and they did it anyways. Completely shady business- I'd stay FAR FAR away!!!!!!
