  • I prefer to stay at Marriott branded hotels because generally you get a clean, well maintained room. BUT not in this case. We arrived late and they had given away our preferred room choice despite making an advance reservation with a credit card. Since it was late in the evening and were tired, we did not argue or make a big fuss about it. The room carpet was stained and was visibly dirty. I found hair all over the bathroom. This gave me an indication that the room was not cleaned properly after the last guest had departed. The bathroom tub was dripping water and made a dripping noise all night. Next morning there was no hot water. It seems they had some plumbing problem and the water temperature would swing from hot to cold to luke warm. It was evident that the hotel owner did not take care of the property. There are a lot of other choices in the area. I will try one of those next time I need to stay close to Charlotte airport.
