  • My first time here to an Oktoberfest. Fun, fun, fun. A traditional German band leads everything from drinking songs (repetitive chants of, "Raise your stein") to dance events, stein holding contests, etc. You get the picture. But how they convert the back 40 of this small, downtown-Glendale, German restaurant to a beer garden is something to be applauded. The weather is perfect in late October, the music transcending, the food fantastic and the beer and wine free-flowing. Well-done Haus Murphy's, well-done.
