We have had our PO Box at this location for almost 25 years. In the past few months there seems to be a major breakdown of qualified workers. In the past 2 days I have been receiving calls and emails asking if we changed our address because mail is being returned to sender as "Unclaimed". This is a business po box so 98% of our mail is payments received and bills. In the past few weeks I have been getting more mail for someone else's po box at that same location and a few checks and junk mail.
I called and complained to a manager but he was not at that location.
I also called headquarters (1-800-275-8777) and filed a formal complaint.
I have had good rapport with the tellers in the past. I believe the issue lies with either a new hire or temporary help from another location. Now I have to drive to a number of locations to pick-up mail that my customers do not want to pay postage for again.
UPDATE: I went to the post office personally today (2/8/18) also and talked to one of the tellers. He looked at our mail that had been marked as "Unclaimed" and determined that the items never made it to this location. He believes the issue is at the distribution location and put a call into a manager. Hopefully this gets resolved quickly.
