The absolute worst apartment I endured living in here in Vegas. I moved here in April, 2009 with my then fiancée who I was in a very toxic relationship with. She wanted to move into a place closer to where she worked and she subsequently got fired so we were stuck there. Me especially, once we broke up and she moved out of Nevada back home to Ohio.
The place when they walk you through it looks like an absolute paradise. We rented a 2-bed/2-bath apartment on the 2nd floor. The thing we didn't account for was the rising heat in an upper level apartment that is way out in North Las Vegas. The Summer of 2009 was absolutely horrible in that apartment. The place would NOT stay cool even when I had the A/C wall unit set to 69 degrees! Maintenance was on site constantly and they'd always say "There was a Freon leak..." and I'd still have to pay a ridiculously expensive power bill from the overuse of my A/C even when it was the complexes fault for not notifying anyone there'd been a Freon leak! I endured power bills that Summer in excess of over $120.00 while trying to still pay rent and bills after my ex-fiancée stiffed me.
I eventually had a friend of mine move in with me to help share expenses but I still hated the place and it still got very hot at times. The ceiling fan in the Master Bedroom that I slept in was way to high to cool anything so I eventually bought a powerful tower fan to make the room cooler.
The shower I had would essentially "choose" how long it'd stay hot before blasting freezing cold water on me when I bathed. Really, the only thing I ever liked about the apartment was the abundance of cupboards in the main kitchen/dining area. I used to store all my CDs and DVDs in there.
It felt so good to finally move out of there in late June, 2010. But the residual effect with paying for having to have them repaint (my ex fiancée painted most of the walls in the kitchen a dark red apple color because she "didn't like white walls") was outrageous as they used what was paid from our deposit of $300.00 and charged an additional $75.00 fee for cleaning which my new roommate and I thought was already taken care of.
Will never recommend this place to anyone.
