| - Aloha Specialties is a Hawaiian restaurant located on the second floor of the California Hotel and Casino.
Today's Special was a Hawaiian Plate consisting of Lua Lua and your choice of Stew (Beef or Tripe) and served with Ahi Poke, Huapia, Steamed White Rice, and Macaroni Salad.
Our party ordered Spam Musubi, Aloha's Special: Ochoa Zuke, Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with Mixed Vegetables, and Beef Stew.
The Spam Musubi consisted of Spam, Teriyaki Sauce, and a block of steamed white rice wrapped with roasted seaweed. It could be seen as a snack or a full meal depending on how hungry you are.
The Ochoa Zuke consisted a grilled Saba (topped with tartar sauce and served with lemon), Spam (half dipped with teriyaki sauce), sliced Teriyaki Chicken, raw broccoli (served with ranch dressing), fishcakes, pickled ginger, radishes, and assorted Japanese pickles, and fresh tofu (garnished with scallions). This was served with a big bowl of rice and Japanese rice seasoning and a pot of Japanese Green Tea. It was a nice variety of their offerings.
