  • Now that I am free from the clutches of my two-year LVAC contract, I can finally write a review. First, I joined this gym in July 2015. Because of the way I signed up with free months and whatever other promos they sway you with, my contract didn't end until October 2017. If I recall correctly, this gym had only been open for a few months when I joined. That being said, things were already broken by the first time I went. Paper towel dispensers that were out in the open on the main floor were totally smashed. How does that even happen without somebody noticing? I pretty much always had issues with the cardio equipment because it was out of order, the TV wouldn't turn off/change channels, etc. I think the problem with commercial gyms is that people don't give a crap. The membership is cheap and it's not their stuff, so they abuse it. The women's gym is a nice thought, but it has a lot less equipment and it is ridiculously crowded. There is one small area for you to use the limited free weights they have and it's always nuts to butts. There is no respect for other women in regards to time whatsoever; literally every time I went, the same woman was using the abductor for 30+ minutes. The women's gym also smells like trash and feet. Nobody cleans off the equipment after they use it and there is equipment all over the floor in the free weight/stretching area. If you dare to venture upstairs, be prepared to be told how you are doing everything wrong all the time! I couldn't work out without some guy offering to spot me, trying to teach me how to do something, or just judging me for even having the gall to come up there. Guess what? I was raised an athlete. I've had actual sports coaches teach me how to work out. I don't need your leg-day skipping self to try to teach me what to do. Want to use the stretching area? Lol nice try! That's ACTUALLY reserved for taking gym selfies and not for any sort of physical fitness whatsoever. But you can try to attempt some stretching/ab work/free weights if you're willing to tip toe around the people lying all over the floor taking pictures of themselves for the 'gram. Another lovely part of my experience with this gym is that right around Thanksgiving 2015, my debit card was stolen. I called the gym on the 2nd of the month when I realized my payment should have gone through and they said they were charging me a late fee. I said "But my card was stolen and the bank shut it off...I called you as soon as I realized" to which the rep responded "I'm not deaf ma'am, I heard you." Classy response! Conclusion: gyms are the actual worst. I am glad to be out of my contract.
