Pros: Location is great. Access to Lakewood Community amenities i.e., greenbelt, park. Safe/secure neighborhood. Close to Desert Vista High School. "Upgrades" are aesthetically appealing. On-site staff is responsive, friendly and helpful. Rental community amenities are good: pool, barbecue area, new outdoor living furniture.
Cons: Energy bills are high due to outdated ac unit, water bill is just as high as when I had a 2300 sq foot house. "Upgrades" are cheap, particularly the washer and dryer that is BELOW grade. "New" carpet is paper thin; Kitchen counter tops are cheap quality--all "upgrades" are cheaply done --Looks like Greystar did the minimal amount just to say that they have "upgraded". The windows are not properly insulated. Walls are paper thin. Not only apartment walls but structure walls. Can hear neighbor singing in her shower in the building adjacent (not next to) to mine. Can hear neighbor whose apartment is next to mine in the same building take a shower and conversations. Landscapers do all grounds work on Friday from 8:00-1:30 so if you're home you will get no rest again because the structural walls and windows are not insulated. Call Greystar mgmt Headquarters--never heard back. Has potential if Greystar made a quality investment--not bare bones.
