| - What can I say that hasn't already been said. Oh....I know!! Let me tell you about the vulture like attitude that was my reception this evening. As I walked to the main building, I noticed the salespeople eyeing me as a lion does water buffalo on the Serengeti! I decided to continue on in and look at the car they advertised, a 2006 BMW 325i for $8095 (I mean who wouldn't). I was greeted by a used salesman, who I didn't get the name of and ushered to a desk inside. A couple of minutes later a salesman by the name of Edwin shows up and we start to talk about the car. He told me that it had not been detailed and is "in the back". I told him that it wasn't a problem and that I didn't care that it wasn't detailed, that I would like to look at it anyway. He started to tell me that the vehicle may have a transmission problem and they needed to "check it out". I told him that if it has a transmission problem I don't want to even consider it and he said "Yes, it has a transmission problem". I then asked Edwin how he can sell a car that hasn't been deemed safe and properly working? He said to me, "I can sell anything", "You just can't drive it until we determine that it's safe and if it is reasonable for us to repair it". I told him you can't sell something that I cannot take off of the lot, after I purchase it and he continued to argue with me that, and I quote, "I can sell it, you just can't take it"!! I need to add that Edwin also admitted that they take 4 pictures of a car to be sold to "Generate foot traffic". Well, Edwin, I know you will not likely read this, however, I wanted to let you know what the definition of sell is. When used as a verb, as in to "sell" a car, the definition is: "To give or hand over (something) in exchange for money."
You CANNOT sell this because I CANNOT take it. You and your dealership will NEVER have my business now or in the future!!
