Several times I have tried to go to the Tin Kitchen Food Truck and the line is so long that I don't wait for it. But if the line is long, it has to be good.
I caught it on a day at Wells Fargo when the line wasn't extremely long, but there were about six people ahead of me. Everyone told me to try the tacos so I decided on a three taco combo. There's plenty of different flavors from around the world. And in the combo you can mix and match. I got a buffalo cauliflower, pork belly and pork carnitas. The ordering process and getting food took a total of about 20 minutes.
Finally I got to eat the tacos. The buffalo cauliflower was a little lackluster. The buffalo taste wasn't as strong or spicy as I like it and there didn't seem to be enough of the cauliflower pieces. I did appreciate the Blue cheese slaw. Now what made me up this review to four stars instead of three, is the pork belly taco. The pork belly is cooked to perfection with a sweet sauce paired with fresh kim chee. I would have been very happy to order just three of these and this is the dish I would come back for. The pork carnitas was not as spicy as I had hoped, but had good flavor. The rice on the taco was a little dry so I wasn't blown away by it.
I'd give it another try as I think I will enjoy the Korean slider and I'd be willing to try some other tacos. But I do hate the wait time for this truck.
