| - I dropped off a pair of tan shoes to have some parts restitched. The clerk said they would polish them as well for free and they would be ready to pick up in a week. Well, a week later, I went to pick them up and brought in a pair of boots I need resoled, and the shoes had been dyed brown but not polished, and the whole reason I brought them in, the stitching had not been done. She offered to have it done while I waited. So, I waited while the repairman stitched them on his sewing machine. The new stitch holes don't line up with the existing holes from the broken stitches. When he was done, I looked at them, and he didn't get all the areas where there were broken stitches, so he sewed them some more. Then when I was about to get into my car and leave, I see that he still didn't get all the areas of broken stitches, even though there were only 4 spots to start with. When I returned to the shop, he was fixing a zipper, so I had to wait even longer. The clerk offered a discount on the boot repair instead of refunding me the shoe repair cost. Over all, it took about 40 minutes to pick up a pair of shoes, and I could have done a better job of fixing them myself. I expected the stitching to be done by hand, since the holes in the leather were already there, but I found out otherwise. Next time, I'm going to the place at Park Road shops. I'll update this when I find out about my boots.
