It was a gloomy, rainy night, and there was absolutely no line up. We walked right in and I ordered four things because this miracle is probably not going to happen again any time soon.
Tsujiri sundae ($7.50) - Yes, it was 7:30pm and it wasn't sold out. I loved the strong matcha flavour. I'd been disappointed with other watered down matcha offerings at other places and I'm glad to have found a place that takes their matcha seriously. But what's going to make sure I come back for more are the red bean paste in the middle and the shiratama ball on top. They perfectly balanced out the matcha for me.
O-matcha black sesame latte ($6) - Very good for the first half of the medium cup, which is the smallest size they have. After that, I was over it, as the flavour is strong but very one note.
Matcha cream puff ($2.75) - So good and fairly fresh. I can see myself getting addicted to these. They're probably even better earlier in the day when they've just been made. I'll have to try them again in the early afternoon.
Matcha macaron ($2.50) - I really liked these. Probably because they have red bean filling and I'm starting to realize I have a problem. Great way to end a Tsujiri visit.
All in all, I enjoyed their offerings and I'll be back on another rainy night.
