Called today after being stranded in Costco parking lot for 2 hours when I switched car batteries. My old aftermarket alarm disabled my car after the switch. I called and the guy wouldn't provide any assistance. Wanted me to pay 120 for some part and tow it to be worked on Monday. So my other friend called an audio place in Washington (his old home town). The guy talked to us for 15 minutes and tried to help us. We couldn't get it. We finally got lucky and it worked. I drove to Beat Buy and they looked at it for free for 5 minutes. Clamped some wires, made some changes, free parts and labor. And sent me on my way with my car safe and working. Audio express tried to take advantage of my situation and lack of knowledge for a sale. Please check out Best Buy. They do Audio installation and have been great to me in the past.
*Best Buy looked at and assessed my cars alarm after I cut wires and pulled fuses. Made changes to it for free. Took them 5 minutes. I called 3 different establishments. Audio Express was the only one who tried to sell me some 120 dollar part that I "needed". Told me other establishments don't install this part. They did this without "looking at my car". So I was recommended a part without someone "looking" in person. And there was zero attempt to help me while I was stranded. The other 2 establishments took their time and tried to help over the phone given my circumstances of having to get my car towed to any establishment. Audio Express made no attempt but to sell me parts. Thanks to the other 2 places, my car didn't have to be towed and I drove out of that parking lot. So the reason I'm upset is the Audio Express was the only place that tried to take advantage of me, trick me into spending money. Luckily I did research and called other places.
