| - I love that Cleveland hosts so many big names in comedy, as well as a few different venues to see them in. Whenever I am in the mood for a comedy show, I have generally visited Improv in the flats because there was always an awesome Groupon deal. However, my boyfriend and I decided to see a show at Hilarities as our Valentine's Day celebration.
We saw Carly Aquilino, who I recognized from the TV show Girl Code. I thought she was hilarious, but I found her more entertaining than my boyfriend did, as a lot of her jokes were geared more toward women.
When looking at the seating chart for the show, I knew I wanted to be up front, but didn't want to be squished at a table with another couple. I saw that there was an option for booths behind the front table section, and that the front row was booth seating at a table! However, upon trying to buy these tickets online, I couldn't pick the specific seats I wanted. My boyfriend simply called and asked about them, and we easily got the seats just a few days before the show. Ticket prices vary, but we paid $28 each for the seats, which I don't think is bad at all.
When we arrived, we had a little trouble finding Hilarities through Pickwick & Frolic (the attached restaurant) but were quickly pointed in the right direction. We were seated promptly and loved our seats. The bathroom was a little tricky to find, as you have to go out some doors and around a winding hallway to find it, but there was someone to point out the way.
The beer here seemed to be decently priced, but there is a two item minimum per person. Overall, it was a great experience!
