When visiting Vegas I usually stay at a Downtown hotel/casino. This is my first "local casino" experience and it was excellent. Not the hustle/bustle of Fremont Street; yet, still plenty of entertainment and activities. Everything was CLEAN -- including the room, which overlooked the pool and the outdoor concert venue (The Boxtops and The Happening were playing last night...it was great). And even though we stayed in a smoking room, there were no lingering odors whatsoever -- probably because the windows actually open all the way and allow fresh air into the room. Also, lots of "outside" amenities nearby, such as Inn and Out Burger, Sonics, and Carls Jr. haha! But then again, the buffet isn't so bad either -- prime rib and shrimp cocktail buffet for only $15! I'd definitely stay here again and, frankly, probably won't be staying Downtown (and definitely not the Strip) for future visits. I'm too old for that! haha!
