| - I got tickets for this show through House Seats.
My husband and I came here tonight and had a good time. This was my first revue show, and I enjoyed it. I wasn't blown away, but it wasn't horrible.
It's a small, intimate venue which makes for some fun interaction between the dancers and audience. We had general admission seats, which were pretty close to the stage and gave us a great view of everything.
I enjoyed the variety of song and dance numbers, even if the girls just lip synced. There's a bit of everything from burlesque to more modern pieces, and the dancers donned a wide array of outfits. The lighting was coordinated perfectly with the music, which helped set the mood. However, the speakers were a bit too loud at certain points of the show.
The dancers were entertaining, talented, and pretty to look at! They are extremely flexible and athletic. I do wish there was some more diversity, though. They all seemed to be skinny white girls. Not that there's anything wrong with them; I just think it would add to the show to have more diverse performers.
Halfway through the show Tony Douglas did a comedy/magic trick routine which was absolutely hilarious. It was totally unexpected and quite a riot. It's crude humor for sure; there are lots of penis references.
If you have nothing better to do and want to get out of the house, this is a good show to check out.
