  • This place is supposed to have the best steak in Madison. It is very good, but I'm not sure it's the best. My date got the $37 special for the night...a very thick steak, beautiful cut of meat. The only problem is that he ordered it well (I know, we won't be going out again!) which meant that the outside was almost charcoaled but the inside was still pink! I got rabbit ($18) in a portabella wine sauce which was very good. Portions are definitely generous! The service was fantastic. They seemed to have a girl whose sole purpose in life was to fill water glasses...as soon as I took a drink she was there to fill it up again! Our main waitress was very attentive and they place had a good crowd even on a Wednesday night! I've also been here for drinks before, which was fun...the waitresses are very friendly...which might have been because we came with cute boys, but who knows?
