Always a favorite stop for us when we're in town. I'm never disappointed, never leave hungry and never leave wanting more...
A feast for the eyes. Satisfying for the stomach. Yes!
We started off with crab cakes. Yes, pedestrian. But I was starving and wanted to keep it simple with my G&T.
We dove straight into the giant grand seafood platter. It was delicious and amazing. But I was slightly disappointed. The Dungeness crab was a bit salty. (I mentioned it to our server, he admitted they boil it in salted water. I felt they should dial it back. Dungeness is briny on its own. I suppose it's okay to put it in a lightly salted water for preparation. But maybe it was a bit much?)
Then for the final blow: Kobe beef with foie gras and lobster mashed potatoes. Yeah. Stick a fork in me. I was sick with regret a half an hour later. But I did enjoy it! The steak was perfectly medium rare and so tender I nearly didn't need a knife. Truly amazing.
