| - If it were possible I would rate LAS Vegas Car and Truck with a negative 2 stars. I would not recommend this dealership to the Demolition Derby. The previous reviewers Ashley N. and Mrs. U. I feel you! I question all of the 5 star reviews. TOO! full of fluffy kittens and pretty butterflies. The over use of adjectives like, helpful, extremely nice, extremely efficient, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (in all caps even), amazing, professional, pleasantly surprised, pleasant experience, the best buying experience, Oh and this one here, "greatness", come on now!, and wonderful experience, top notch, quality. My stomach has been well turned.
I went to LVCT, the first of the year( 2016) at the old address 3401 S. Decatur Blvd., now at 1616 S. Decatur Blvd. I guess moving a lot is a good thing. My story is quite lengthy for the Eight (8) days I drove the unsafe vehicle, so I will shorten it. I went to purchase what I though to be a safe and reliable vehicle to drive 1,559 miles to Louisiana to spend time with my dying sister. Instead of getting a safe and reliable vehicle with a down payment of 2,000 dollars, I got a hard lesson in a legal definition of a word that means, "a false representation of a matter of fact - whether by words or by conduct, by false or misleading allegation, or by concealment of what should have been disclosed - that deceives and is intended to deceive another so that the individual will act upon it to her or his legal injury". I was greeted by Michelle (lots of smiles, but God looks on the heart, 1 Sam. 16:7), then Matthew. I test drove the 2012 Dodge Journey, I noticed the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) was illuminated, I was promised that the (TPMS) would be repaired. And no, in my ignorance of buying a used vehicle I did not get the promise in writing, and I'm a Senior citizen to-boot, yes I know, they saw me coming a mile, no two miles away!Haha!. I signed the contract, was ready to leave the lot, I noticed that the (TPMS) light still on!. I was then assured by both Michelle and Matthew that " the vehicle's (TPMS) had been repaired, and the warning light would go out after I have driven the vehicle 25 miles, and then the System would RESET ITSELF" (wink wink)!. They both knew that I wanted the vehicle because I was planing to drive 1,559 miles over dangerous highways at high speeds, under all kinds of road conditions, but they told me with a straight face that the the vehicle (a 2012 Dodge Journey) brakes had just been worked on and the vehicle was "READY TO GO", which turn out to be a out right lie. This is from a dealership who's website AD claims to have "CERTIFIED MECHANICS onsite and all of their used vehicles are put through a 75-point safety and mechanical inspection and Ten (10) hours on average is spent on each vehicle as it goes through their entire process from the initial purchase to being offered for sale".
But yet, I leave off the lot to eventually get on the highway based on a lie that the Tire Pressure Monitoring System "had been repaired", which turned out to be a lie. In my research I found information on how very dangerous it is to drive with the (TPMS) not in working order. And yet LVCT out right refused to make repairs to the vehicle, even with the CERTIFIED MECHANICS allegedly onsite. Only Six (6) miles driven from the dealership to my house, the very next day the Check Engine warning light comes on, only six (6) miles after I purchased the vehicle. Two (2) days after that the vehicle would not even START!. I only drove the vehicle Eight (8) Days, a total of only Ninety-Five (95) Miles Driven. And Seventy-six (76) of those miles were put on the vehicle going places to try and get this "high quality vehicle roadworthy, including paying out-of-pocket for brake repair at Sears. All the while I was asking LVCT to repair the vehicle as promised or refund my 2,000 dollars down payment, and Rescind the contract so I could make other plans to get to Louisiana to spend time with my dying sister, all to no avail, I was lied to and ignored.
If it were not for the promise of Michelle and Matthew, that the vehicle's Tire Pressure Monitoring System would be repaired before I signed the contract, I WOULD HAVE NOT PURCHASED what I think is an UNSAFE VEHICLE. Oh, the only thing I got for my 2,000 dollars down payment is a 7,451.44 Deficiency Balance for a unsafe vehicle that I refused to pay for, that I drove for only eight(8) days, and only 95 miles put on the vehicle. I did not get to spend any time with my dying sister, she died before I could the problem resolved. BUYERS BEWARE!.
