  • As others have mentioned, this place is horrible. Over Labor Day weekend I was charged over $200 per night (plus taxes, etc) for a room that wouldn't have cost more than $59 anywhere else. There was an open electric box on a wall near the bed, the bathroom fan sounded like a badly tuned motorcycle, wallpaper and trim was coming off in multiple places. Breakfast, where they don't even serve your coffee, was an extra $20 per person per night. I don't know if they are charging so much in an effort to raise funds to refurbish the place or if the owner is just milking it and then taking off. Several of my friends that were also staying there (otherwise we would have left right away) complained about similar conditions in their rooms. Don't they have hotel inspectors in Canada? Worst place I've stayed in since I was a teenager in Europe.
