  • Similar to many reviewers, tried this place because of a Groupon. 1st visit: Followed all the pre-tan instruction the night before. A blonde girl was working by herself. There was another girl waiting infront of me but she didn't have an appt in the system even though she said she had called. They took me in before her. The spray tech asked me what color I wanted and I told her lighter than what she had...I still turned out dark but it looked good overall. I felt rushed and she was spraying super fast. There was tanning dripping on the back of my knees so I wiped it up and it left a white spot. I had to rub in some color from around my leg to help it. Once you get outside, you'll notice it more. She missed half of my foot and I have fair skin so it was really noticeable. I didn't want to take a shower at midnight so I went to bed and showered 15hrs after the spray. Most of the color on the front of my body and the shin of my leg came off. Maybe because it was facing the shower head the most? -- but it's been only a day. My face/arm was still a bit darker than I wanted and my legs were starting to show the tan blotching that evening. Major blotching on the leg by day 2...2nd visit: 6 days after the first visit. A brunette helped me and she seemed more thorough and I told her about the blotching starting by the 2nd day. I told her to use a shade lighter than what was given last week but she said they don't keep track of what shade I had. I felt good about her spray but again ---- go outside or a well lit building and you'll notice. She missed my thumb and parts of my fingers so I had a half tanned hand. She noticed how light my feet were because of the miss from the 1st visit and she took her time on it and overdid it -- My feet was WAAY DARKER than the rest - almost orange looking. Again, waited about 15 hours to shower (limited my time)and the same happened -- front washed off but my DARK FEET remained -- I tried rubbing it off a bit. The inside of my elbow and the back of my legs were getting really blotchy. I scheduled my last spray on day 4 since it was getting ridiculous...This time a different brunette was there and I really liked her. I asked her about the shade and she said there are 3 so I told her to use the lighest one because the wear off is too noticeable with the dark one. The light spray didn't cover up the blotchiness from the prior dark ones completely but helped a little. She said to try to rub in the color after the 1st shower to help cover the blotch. I would suggest people who have never done this to get the lighest shade first and see how blotchy it gets before going darker. Take your time DRYING your body after the spray. I even walked around outside before driving home. I also tried to limit the back of my legs and knees from touching/rubbing the car seat afterward as I think that is what made it look so bad. Moisturize as much as you can after your 1st shower. To the Glo owner, you should put up a curtain in the room against the door as it opens up to the 10x10 waiting area - I think a customer may have seen my butt cheeks while I was drying the first time. I probably won't come back here or get another spray tan if this is the outcome after 2-3 days. It seems to be more of chore to keep the tan on than enjoying it. Now...time to look for a tanning bed to limit the horror of what my skin will look like for the next week.
