  • I stayed at this property for 4 nights in March to attend a conference. I was impressed from my arrival to when I checked out. The grounds are truly quite spectacular. There are a number of pools to take advantage of as well as lounges, fire pits and fire places throughout the property. My third floor room had the fragrance garden on the hallway side and an east pool view from my balcony. I was able to leave my sliding glass door open for the duration of my stay, allowing me to hear birds in the morning and fresh air day and night. My morning coffee was enjoyed on the balcony watching the dusk turn to light. My King executive room was spacious and comfortable. The foyer had both a linen closet with a safe and a walk in closet with a large number of hangers and set of drawers. The bathroom had a large soaker tub, separate shower and a large vanity counter with double sinks. A kettle, Keurig coffee maker and tea and coffee were provided. There was also a large number of soft towels, two robes and a scale. High quality toiletries were provided as is the custom at a Fairmont. WIFI in the room was disappointing - the signal wasn't strong enough for my work issued lap top to hold the signal so my VPN token constantly dropped, rendering my laptop useless for work purposes. The service at the south pool was impeccable. I happened to have the same server both times I lounged there and I was always greeted with a smile, a request for my name and room number. Once my name was obtained, it was used whenever I was addressed. The food and beverages from the South pool were both of high quality and I appreciated the large number of gluten free options available on their menu. I took advantage of the lobby bar - a great place to people watch, enjoy fresh air and sample a large number of wines by the glass and custom cocktails. I so liked the La Hacienda restaurant that I ate there twice - the Queso Fundito and the muddled strawberry cocktail were amazing. The Toro restaurant located on the golf course was also a fantastic eating experience - they took great care in ensuring my gluten free diet was accommodated and we enjoyed a number of different dishes. I enjoyed this trip for business purposes so much that I would consider going back again and have recommended to friends who enjoy golf and tennis holidays. I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars due to the poor WIFI access in the rooms as well as the rather isolated location - it is either an hour free trolley or $15 Uber ride to downtown Scottsdale. A taxi, town car or some sort of transit is required if you wish to get around
