  • I do love Excalibur due to it's laid back Las Vegas atmosphere. My family, friends and I just returned from my Birthday weekend celebration here. It was a memorable stay both with good and bad. Let's start with the good... Pros: The Steakhouse at Camelot is BY FAR one of the BEST steakhouses in Vegas. We were blown away by how delicious the food was. we received generous portions of delicious food. The service was great. We had our own little private room to celebrate my birthday which was very memorable indeed. POOL: We rented a cabana for our group on Saturday next to the adult pool. We were greeted by a young gentleman who was very friendly and was ready to help us have a great time by providing excellent service. We had an AWESOME time playing cornhole, swimming and enjoying the slide. Our poolside cocktail waitress was named Ali and she provided exceptional service as well. Food from Drenched poolside bar was ok not good not bad. The pool, cabana, and steakhouse were by FAR the best parts of Excalibur. now the CONS: CHECK IN LINE WAS INSANE!!! I have stayed here before and have never waited over an hour to check in. Not only did we wait this line but our friends and family all arrived at different times and they too had their own check in nightmare stories. My dad and stepmoms reservation wasn't even in their system but they were already charged for their room. They were very upset after driving the long hot desert drive to get to Vegas to wait in an hour line to be told their was no room for them!! Luckily they managed to "squeeze" them in. FOOD: Selections are mediocre at best. Expensive fast food garbage. SHOW: We wanted to see the Tournament of Kings show but we were not offered any kind of special discounts or group rates even when we asked at the box office. ROOM: "upgraded room" ??? Not sure what was upgraded in the room.... Looked like same old Excalibur room to me. We are Mlife members and have been for awhile now. Nothing as far as upgrades, show discounts, or anything was given to us for our stay. We are very disappointed in Excalibur and Mlife as a whole during this trip. Excalibur will definitely not be our first choice of hotel in the future.
