  • Basic bread and butter of the rock and roll is forgotten by the rock and roll hall of fame that in my opinion should actually should change it's name to musical hall of fame. There is nothing about huge rock and roll names like led Zeppelin, pink Floyd and even queen have no recognition here, instead there is a lot of pop and rap mentions. but let me start for the very beginning, we were unlucky enough to drive down during a sports event, this hall of fame is located right next door to a stadium, no parking is provided for the hall of fame so it posed several issues to us. one- getting close enough to the hall of fame was almost impossible during the game start as the streets were closed by the police so we drove around a fair amount of time to be able to get even close to the location, once there we realized that there was no proper parking for the hall of fame visitors, only paid private parking is around the area so make sure to bring some extra founds when you come and visit this fail museum. we came in excited so excited. we had a sandwich right outside at a food truck that was astronomically overpriced, like a burger with no fries for over 10 dollars. that was after paying 25 dollars for parking across the street and were supposed to pick up the car after the game that we didn't even come to the town to see. once we came in we were pleased to see that we had discounted tickets as a mil discount and as always i do appreciate the places that provide discounts to us. as we walked in i was quick to realize that they had a bit of music history building up to the rock and roll generation, you will see a lot of the early artists who influenced rock and roll that is a fun side of the history worth to see. however as you dive in deeper into the building you will come to realize that the progressively shrinking of rock and roll history is eminent, you will start to see an almost ADHD organization of timelines and mix confusion, you will find stuff like, big names in country and rap music, which has nothing to do with rock. you will find some great rock and roll names from different genres however the amount of stuff on them is comprised in a way that is very lacking at least in my opinion. as you will noticed that a whole lot is dedicated to pop or very main stream rock names that are somewhat irrelevant right now as you skip other great names like the ones i mentioned in the beginning of this review. there are 4 floors of museum, also a theatre that was soooooooo bad i cant even start to describe how horrible it was. i just again want to emphasize that i terribly disliked the hall of fame as i expected this to be about rock and roll, its roots and its biggest names and their history, deeper exhibits about these names and their influence in their generation, i did not expect to find little windows about time lines with a jacket from a singer here or a pair of boots from a drummer there.... no amount of substance in my opinion.... saw a whole lot of pop and that was definitely what i signed up for when i drove 3 hours here. if you are into music in general, perhaps you will enjoy the place but be aware that rock is not on the spot light here.
