  • Passing through Calgary from National Parks so this hotel was on the way. Convenient but there are few dining options in the area. Nice large king suite upgrade as gold member but unfortunately the stay was a bust! The AC unit worked randomly and never got close to cooling the room to the set temp. Given it was a hot day it made for a poor night sleep. And we couldn't just open the windows because of the constant loud roar of traffic outside. And to boot when the AC did kick in it was just as loud as the traffic. A poor night sleep ruined this stay. And worse when checking out I told the staff of these issues and they shrugged their shoulders. Nice way to treat a Gold member! The manager did follow-up a week later and refunded the SPG points used to pay for the room which was good customer service follow-up. August 2014
