| - Switched ISPs from Charter to AT&T to avoid the headache of miscommunication and mystery charges, but found myself walking right back into a similar situation. Locked me into an additional, unwanted contract under false pretenses. Taking literal hours out of my day, I've bounced between multiple departments and multiple agents on the phone, yet each department and each agent had a completely different answer or approach to my problem. Some even tried to add additional charges and additional promotions to my bill in order to "help me?" I then switched to chat support, which was initially more promising in finding the actual department I needed to talk to, but ultimately yielded no results. I have saved multiple conversations with their 'customer service' where they promised me the issue would be resolved by the next billing cycle. They have yet to follow through. I literally have case numbers that they provided me to confirm the correction was real and effective... Nope.
Every month I have to contact them to remove this charge from my bill. YES!! Overall, disappointed with the business ethics, integrity, and inconsistency of AT&T. Once upon a time, I appreciated AT&T for their straight-forward customer service, but my recent interactions have left me wanting to go elsewhere once my contract is up.
