  • Who knew a "Tasting Menu" brunch could be such an amazing experience? First off, I bought the Living Social package, without the alcohol. Had I been staying over, I would have wisely opted for the alcohol. When I "checked in' on Yelp, I was awarded a "splash" of prosecco- flute is more like it. I also ordered the White peach belini. If everyone, everywhere, started every day with this drink, the world would be a happier place. Where to begin ( at the beginning, of course): The service was attentive yet not obsequious or fawning. Obviously a well-trained staff of professionals! They move, en mass, as though there are choreographed. The ambience: Is there a better view in LV that doesn't require an elevator? I think not. The room is large yet feels cozy. The chairs are ultra comfortable; the table is set immaculately, and I am entranced by the cutlery. I want to know where I can buy a setting for eight? The food: We began with a cheese & salami plate, a salad (how do they manage to make capers luxurious?), and two pastries. That, at most restaurants, would have been the sum total of a brunch tasting--not so here. We were just starting. My husband had the salmon cakes with poached eggs. He is a stickler for the poached egg breaking correctly on an entree, so it was great to see his grin when that golden orb oozed all over the hamburger-sized salmon cakes. I had the Giada Burger. Oh my goodness! The meat was a melange of sirloin and panchetta ground and cooked perfectly medium rare-- served on a brioche bun with an heirloom tomato, peppery arugula, sweet onion, and tangy baby gerkins. To make things even better, on the side there were these potato/zucchini straws. I want the recipe! I couldn't eat it all and still manage the dessert, so I, wisely, had it boxed up at the halfway point. I am so glad I did because the close to this cullinary sojourn is the stuff of memories. My husband had the Chocolate Tower cake and I had the warm-from-the-oven, fluffy, limonchelo souffle with a creme Anglish. We also ordered double espressos which arrived simultaneously with the sweets. I am stuffed, I am content. I may nap until tomorrow. Thank you Julian C. and the wonderful team at Giada's for a fantastic afternoon!
