  • I searched YELP a few months ago looking for a good bakery. I needed a pastry fix of some kind. I finally made it into Maddy's Fatty's yesterday. Boy was I glad! I must say that if the coffee is bad then I have trouble liking whatever breakfast item I might be eating because, well, they go together! Right? I ordered a coffee and one of the two scones in the showcase. Blueberry or Cranberry??? Decisions, decisions. I went with the cranberry with white chocolate, (I think). It was the largest scone I have seen to date. I think I am a "scone snob" because I haven't had a really good one since I found the one in CA years ago. So, that being said I dove in. It was delicately crumbly, bursting with flavor and the middle had a smooth, moist flavor just like I remembered from CA. Jack pot! The coffee complimented the scone perfectly. I'm a coffee snob too..... I introduced myself to Enza and we chatted like old friends. I loved hearing the story of how she and her sister started baking for family at home and finally took the plunge to open up this wonderful hidden gem. Follow your passion and the money will follow is true so I have been told. Much success ladies. You deserve it! P.S. Your wedding cakes look amazing! Thank you for making my mouth SO HAPPY!! Heidi
