  • I am a cynical renter, with lots of complaints about airport car rental companies. However, I just rented a car at CLT from Hertz, and had the best service ever. First agent helped me bypass the line and walked me to the appropriate place to rent (Gold member, but I had used a new credit card so I was supposed to stand on regular line). Second agent, with the unlikely name of James Brown, walked my wife and me to the car, and insisted on helping with the luggage. I don't think we looked decrepit; he was simply being nice. Car was there, clean, and an upgrade to a new Cadillac, which James was very happy about on our account. Unusually great service.
