Delano instantly became my favorite Vegas hotel the moment we checked in for the first time. I am a hotel snob and I often joke about how I need a 6-star hotel. This is definitely an upgrade from TheHotel, which was such a sour experience the last time we stayed there. I love the decor and ambiance. We love the lobby bar, Franklin. It is definitely a classy hotel and makes you forget you're in Vegas.
Another plus is that we can always find great rates for the times we want to go to Vegas. It usually has the cheapest rates compared to other similar hotels. The negative is probably the reason behind the positive, which is it is just too out of the way. After three or four times of staying here, I am sick of the limited scenery around this hotel. It doesn't help that it's connected to some of the lower end hotels on the Strip like Luxor. Gambling options are not great around here and the odds are terrible. Shopping? Forgettaboutit.
For about the same price, I would highly recommend Vdara instead because it's a lot closer to most of the Strip action with all the great amenities you would want from a 5-star hotel. I would stay at Delano again when I start to miss places like RM Seafood.
