Tis' the season to be mailing. To my surprise, the post office wasn't as busy as I thought it would be mid-December on a Friday afternoon during lunch time. As this office services uptown, it is usually pretty busy, but that's to be expected.
When I arrived the line only had about 5 people ahead of me. They quickly opened up additional cashiers to help.
I was trying to mail my grandparents their birthday and Christmas cards and I always send gift cards so I had questions whether to do priority, get insurance, ask for a signature, etc. My cashier, Danny, was very pleasant. He was able to answer my questions and give suggestions on which options to use. I settled on priority due to price and the ability to track. Turns out mail insurance only covers replacement fees of gift cards and not their value.
I walked from work since I'm in the government district but there is ample parking at this location along with drop-off boxes.
