Umm okay I'm kinda disappointed with this place. A lot of positive reviews and appetizing pictures made me want to try this place for a long time, but in the end, it didn't live up to the hype for me.
It was my first time in that plaza and I couldn't help but to keep wondering - am I at the right place? I guess I hadn't taken a close look at the pictures of the environment, because I was expecting a cafe of some sort with its own seats and tables. Instead it is located in a pretty run-down food court which seemed like a seniors' hangout spot. When I checked the price range prior to visiting, I thought it was reasonable and wondered why so many people said it was overpriced. Now that I have visited, I understand why. It's located in the food court that serves super cheap $5 dishes so I don't know what more overhead costs they incur.
Anyways the staff was nice and friendly. My friend dropped the ice cream on the table as soon as she received it and they were kind enough to add more ice cream for her. Also our order came pretty fast - maybe it was because it was almost 9pm on a Tuesday.
I got the original woofle with matcha ice cream and my friend got lap cheung woofle with matcha ice cream. Honestly mine was very ordinary. My friend thought her lap cheung was getting "too salty" as she had more and more.
I'm curious to try their cookies and cream woofles, but other than for that reason, I will not come out of my way back to this place. I will drop by only if I'm close and have a lot of time in my hands.
