  • This is one of the older indoor market establishments in Toronto and they're well known for a few of their authentic spots inside (i.e. pemeal bacon). This indoor market wasn't as nice as some of the other markets I visited in Toronto and it did feel old (not entirely in a positive way). I think if they classed it up a bit, keep the charm but update a few things, this place would be really happening. Definitely not trendy but more family friendly for the blue collar working class spot kind of feel. The people who worked at the various booths were very friendly and helpful. I went there with a bunch of my cousins to get some good food and I tried their famed pemeal bacon sandwich. It was good but I wouldn't say it was worth trekking here for this alone. What makes up for it though was that there were so many other places in and around this market that you can explore for hours. As much as I wanted to absolutely love this place, I found the other markets in Toronto better in terms of the food quality, taste, and overall options in food, fresh produce, meat cuts, drinks, etc. Nice, quiet place to bring your family. Definitely wasn't crowded when I went. And I went on a weekend during lunchtime. Parking: Paid structure across the street
