I'm really trying to cut back on handing out 4 star reviews, but as I relive my experiences at Chicago Hamburger company, I am torn. i hesitate to give this joint 4 stars, because at the end of the day, its a greasy food spot that does a couple of things well. It's a really great Chicago style hot dog; probably the best thing on the menu.
The burgers aren't anything special. Its not as if its a fresh or anything and pretty much a run of the mill burger joint. The sliders are awesome because they're cheap and they have that "slider burger" taste from a greasy food spot, you know what i mean? its great because its not....if that makes sense.
the fries were previously frozen, and ultimately just hot potato/oil sticks. but still, i like this place. i know it sounds like a contradiction but it has its merits. and it really is a great hot dog and since it's around-the-freaking-corner I figure I'll be having plenty of them.
