  • I've gone to this salon several times because it's convenient and the stylists are generally quite pleasant and competent. But recently, I have been turned off by the owner/manager. He used to be customer focused. Would thank me for my business and offer me coffee/water. Not the last several times. Instead of any of that, I was told last month that I could no longer charge the tip, only the manicure. He didn't want to pay the 3% merchants fee for that - really??? This last time, I came prepared with cash enough for the tip. But that wasnt enough. He wanted me to pay the whole bill in cash. He ultimately accepted my credit card, but not until he was convinced that I didn't have that much cash. I have truly never paid more for a manicure than I did at Espres Nails. But this is the cheapest I have ever been treated as a patron. I could understand if this was a bargain salon, but he's charging top buck and should happily pay the 3% merchants fee for his customers' convenience - not squeeze us to save a few cents.
