  • The bride of the wedding set up our appointments, with 10 of us needing hair and 6 or so needing makeup. I arrived around 10:30 for my 10:45 appointment. Fortunately, I was being dropped off because parking is a challenge - there aren't a lot of spots and several are awkwardly positioned perpendicular and close to the main road. When I checked in, they were dealing with at least 2 other wedding parties, and there was quite the noisy conversation to make sure they knew who I was and I knew where to be. They were friendly, just dealing with a lot. I was offered sparkling wine, and then found my group to wait for my appointment. I don't wear a watch, and I was with friends, so I wasn't paying attention to the wait at that time. Seely (I hope I spelled that right) was my stylist. She took me to the chair, asked me what I wanted, when I'd last shampooed, etc. I said that I didn't need the wash and said that I was game with anything as long as there was a little bit of swoop over the forehead (mine is huge and my creases are only getting deeper, so I try to cover at least a little). She spun me around to work, explaining that during the week they never have to be next to each other, but Saturdays are jam packed for weddings. She did a great job! The do was beautiful, and the bobby pins were so secure that it only took one adjustment 8 hours later after an hour of dancing to keep it looking fresh. The few downsides I noticed - there is only 1 bathroom, so the line gets long on Saturdays. The woman doing makeup was taking time to make it perfect, and consequently, those appointments were way behind schedule. And lastly, with the bride making the reservations and/or paying for some of the services, there was often confusion about who's paying what. They patiently, professionally, and cordially work through it all, but be prepared for things to be a tad hectic on a Saturday.
