In the past few months, RA Sushi bar moved from Kierland Commons a little south on Scottsdale BLVD and I was a little bummed. I actually like the new location though! Parking is more convenient, plus they are open until midnight which is sort of rare in the early closing city of Scottsdale.
Their staff is VERY professional and friendly. My waitor had just started working there that week, but I could tell he was very well trained and had previous experience. We did discover that we were very opposite in terms of political views, however, he was very respectful of my beliefs and I did the same.
They have gluten-free tamari sauce and organic rice as an option. While this restaurant is typically outside of my uber-healthy restaurant options, the avocado roll and noodle soup works for me. I sometimes go there to impress special dinner guests or sometimes I go there for my everyday "work on my laptop" nights.
If I had one complaint, it would be that the room is sometimes dark but my eyes adjusted after a few minutes and the music can be a bit loud, but often they will turn down the volume if I ask (yes, I'm getting to the age where the music is too loud).
This is definitely an upper-end sushi place and offers the same high quality that you would expect from other RA Sushi locations. Check the website for Sunday Brunch and Happy Hour specials.
