| - It seems I'm the only one who has anything negative to say, so I'd still say give them a shot. But I had a few issues...
-they double booked the stylist that was supposed to do my hair and had to call someone in at the last minute. My appointment started 30 minutes later than scheduled.
- For the cut I asked for NO layers in the back and just a few framing my face. The stylist told me she thought I should have layers, but my hair is fine and breaks easily and I think layers make it look thin and shows damage. I made it very clear that I did not want layers, she made it clear she thought I should have them. Well when I got home I realized she had cut layers in the back. I was not happy.
-All I wanted was partial highlights, not to have my base lightened. my natural color is light ash brown and I like the natural, low maintenance look of highlights with my natural base. I've been blonde forever, I've had my base lightened, I get it. But that is NOT what I wanted. She brought it up like 6 times that she wanted to lighten my base. I'm always open to suggestions, they are the professionals after all. But when you suggest something and the customer says no thank you, don't keep bringing it up! When it was all finished and dried I was very happy with the result it was exactly what I asked for, but she actually said something like "well it would look much better if you would let me lighten your base, but oh well maybe next time"... seriously??!!
I won't be going back, but after reading all these reviews I might have just had a fluke bad experience. I'm fairly happy with the end result, with the exception of the layers that I did not want (not the end of the world). The salon is cute, clean and is centrally located.
