| - Had a horrible experience here this week (Thanksgiving week). Went Wednesday night right before closing for a laptop, but was told they didn't have any of what I wanted in stock. This seemed odd since it was the night before Thanksgiving, but I trusted them. I specifically mentioned I wanted to price match a price I found elsewhere and was assured (2x) that they would be able to handle that if I came back right when they opened on Thursday (Thanksgiving). Now this was an item NOT on any black friday sales either at BB or at the place I was price matching.
So I came back on Thursday as they opened, and after being given a run-around to different employees and waiting in lines, was ultimately told they don't price match on Black Friday (even though it was Thursday). So that was frustrating, but chalked it up to the one Wednesday employee being new/untrained. But I then asked very specifically "what about on Saturday? Would you price match then?" I was told unequivocally YES, that would be fine. Another employee confirmed.
So I come back on Saturday, right as they opened. Another employee told me they wouldn't price match all weekend. Since we'd been explicitly told differently by three different employees by this point, we asked to speak to someone in charge. This person (Sandy) listened to our story about how we'd kept coming back and rather than apologize for the lies and trouble they've caused me, demanded "Who did you talk to?" Apparently it's my problem to keep track of her employees since she can't control them herself. Then "That's not how I trained them". Not a single apology, not even an acknowledgement that they were clearly not trained that way. Very rude and accusatory. (Incidentally, we asked to speak to someone even higher up and she insisted there was no one else, even though the BB site claims "Michelle" is the GM...so that appears to have been another lie).
If we'd just been told this was the policy on Wednesday, it would have been frustrating since their lack of stock meant we'd have to wait a week to get the better price, but we would have accepted it. Instead, we were lied to by multiple employees (one is an aberration, three is a reflection on the store's management problems). I wasted time on 3 different days, money on gas getting to and from the store, and energy simply following the directions of the employees only to be told a different thing each day. And on top of that, I was treated poorly by the manager, with zero apology or concern that we were treated this way. No integrity to honor their words, no concern for customer treatment or satisfaction.
